GENERAL INFORMATION :
What to expect: This traditional Victorian hotel, built in 1903, now has a distinctive South East Asian flavor. A Buddhist statue dominates the reception area and beautiful Asian woodcarvings and artefacts add an exotic twist to the contemporary dark wood and white marble interiors. It is now an intimate retreat for businesspeople and tourists, especially families at the weekends.
Amenity highlights: A £15 million refurbishment has transformed this Victorian hotel into a stylish contemporary haven, with tip-top modern amenities. There is an efficient business center and a well-equipped fitness center, as well as the Creation Bar and Restaurant.
Insider tip: Most people visit Bloomsbury for the British Museum. In 2000, architect Sir Norman Foster redeveloped the central Great Court.
