Getting There: The Heathrow Express train takes 15 minutes non-stop from the airport to Paddington Station in the centre of London. Trains leave every 15 minutes and the standard single fare is £14.50. From Paddington take the District and Circle line, alighting at Earl's Court for the hotel. The airport is also on the Underground's Piccadilly line which runs directly to Earl's Court, 200 metres from the hotel. Trains depart approximately every 10 minutes and the journey takes around 60 minutes to central London. A one-day travel card including travel to Heathrow costs £6.30. Black taxi cabs wait outside each terminal, and typically cost around £50 to the hotel. Coaches run to London Victoria station and destinations all over the UK. Local buses also serve Heathrow. Driving Directions: From the airport, take the M4 which turns into the A4, on which the hotel is situated. Shortly after West Kensington underground station and the junction for Earl's Court, the Cromwell Hospital will appear on the left. The Derby Hotel Kensington is on the right beyond the Cromwell Hospital, directly opposite the Quality Crown Hotel Kensington.

Getting Around: The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground (Tube) or bus services. Single cash tickets are expensive and for the cheapest fares, an electronic Oyster card is recommended; these are available from ticket offices for a refundable deposit of £3. Day or weekly travel cards are the most cost efficient option and are valid on the Underground, buses, trains, DLR and trams. London's black taxis are plentiful and can be hailed in the street.
