After checking in at The Metropolitan's 24-hour reception area, guests unwind from their journey with a trip to COMO Shambhala Urban Escape spa and indulge in Asian-inspired holistic treatments, including the revitalising Jet Lag Therapy and Thai massage. Breakfast is served in the light, bright and peaceful White Room, while guests needing to eat on the go can order from the take-out menu. The Guest Relations team can advise on where to go and what to see in the capital, including tips on the best restaurants, shows and gallery openings. Business guests benefit from fully-equipped conference rooms and a secretarial service. Valet parking is available for those arriving by car for around £35 per day. A shop in the lobby sells chic souvenirs and designer accessories.

The Metropolitan, London, offers 150 air-conditioned guestrooms located on 10 floors, all of which feature coffee and cream toned décor with splashes of plum, pear-wood panelling, suede upholstery, pure Egyptian cottons, fine goose down duvets and views of Hyde Park or Mayfair. Amenities include cable television with pay movies, direct-dial phones with voicemail, high-speed wireless Internet, desks, CD and DVD players with CD juke box and movie libraries, minibars, and safes. Guestrooms extend to bathrooms with marble and frosted glass and COMO Shambhala toiletries, with either bathtubs and showers or walk-in showers.

DINING:
Nobu - A Michelin starred restaurant with a simple, elegant design featuring light woods and natural stone. Enjoys views across Hyde Park through full-height windows, and is packed with celebrities and fashionable diners on a nightly basis. Serves a mix of Peruvian-Japanese cuisine with specialities including Black Cod with Miso, Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Soy Sauce Dressing, Hamachi Sashimi with Jalapenos and Squid Pasta with Light Garlic Sauce. Open for lunch and dinner.

Met Bar - A dynamic bar with decadent red leather furnishings, wine-dark walls and soft, moody lighting. Members and hotel guests are served drinks by Armani-clad waiters while listening to headline DJs spinning London lounge music. Bar specialities include bespoke Martini cocktails including Smoked Duck and the Expresso Martini, accompanied by snacks such as aromatic duck pancakes with Hoi Sin sauce. Open from early evening until around 2.30 AM.
